The PMA Companies and Public Trust Advisors, LLC Combine to Create a New Financial Services Firm, Backed by Flexpoint Ford and TA Associates
The combined company, led by CEO Todd Alton, provides comprehensive financial services and liquidity management programs to public entities and financial institutions nationwide.
NAPERVILLE, IL, October 29, 2024 – The PMA Companies (“PMA”) and Public Trust Advisors, LLC (“Public Trust”) are combining to offer financial solutions that strengthen communities nationwide. Together, PMA and Public Trust will create a strong, mutually beneficial network of local government investment pools and associated financial services that will help local governments and school districts support community improvements and growth.
As a combined firm, PMA and Public Trust work with clients across 26 states, offering investment services to approximately 11,000 public entities. The organization also partners with financial institutions to provide competitive deposit rates to public funds, and they also help banks and credit unions expand their local footprints in supporting community initiatives and economic growth.
Todd Alton, formerly the CEO of Public Trust, leads the new firm, with Jim Davis, formerly CEO of PMA, now serving as Executive Chairman of the board of directors. Both Naperville, Illinois, and Denver, Colorado, remain as primary operational hubs of the combined firm.
The regulatory requirements were evaluated and addressed, including obtaining consents from the boards of the local government investment pools served by both firms.
As part of the integration, the combined organization anticipates announcing a new brand in the coming months that will include a new firm name and website. Additional updates will be posted periodically to both the PMA and Public Trust websites.
