Stephen Adams joined PMA Securities in 2018. He provides municipal advisory services to various municipal entities and school districts located in western, central and southern Illinois. Stephen has been in the public finance industry since 2000, having started his career at the Illinois Rural Bond Bank before spending the majority of his career at an underwriting broker-dealer. While at his prior firms, his primary responsibilities included providing quantitative and qualitative research, financial analysis and client support for local government and non-profit clients. Mr. Adams has extensive knowledge in the structuring of debt and levies for general obligation issues, revenue-backed issues and alternate revenue source issues. Mr. Adams has a bachelor of science in business administration/economics from Illinois College and a master of business administration from the University of Illinois-Springfield. He holds FINRA Series 50, Series 52 and Series 63 licenses. Mr. Adams is a member of the Illinois Government Finance Officers Association, Illinois Municipal Treasurers Association and Illinois Association of School Business Officials. He has presented IGFOA, IASBO, and ICCCFO conferences and seminars.
