Dr. Paul Ziegler to Join the PMA and MOCAAT Team

PMA, a premier full-service provider of financial and advisory services to local governments, is pleased to announce that Dr. Paul Ziegler will be joining the team as Coordinator of Investment Services as of October 2, 2023. He will partner with the Missouri Capital Asset Advantage Treasury (MOCAAT) to serve school districts and other political subdivisions throughout the state of Missouri. Paul’s exceptional experience and commitment will allow MOCAAT to further its relationship as a trusted partner to local Missouri school districts.

Paul currently serves on the MOCAAT Board of Directors in addition to his role as Chief Executive Officer to Education Plus where he manages a staff of 61 charged with professional development of educators and management of the cooperative purchasing platform and contracts. He is passionate about advocating on the local, state and national level on behalf of educators to ensure the best possible educational environment is provided in the St. Louis Region. Paul will be retiring this fall and will join the PMA team and the MOCAAT investment program.

Dr. Ziegler has over 25 years’ experience in education, beginning his career as a Special Education Teacher in the Francis Howell School District. He then spent 17 years at the Northwest School District where he served as Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent of Funds and Facilities, Director of Administrative Services and High School Administrator. Paul’s service to his professional organizations includes previous roles as President and Executive Board Member of the Missouri Association of School Administrators, Development Co-Chair for the Better Schools for Missouri PAC, Chair of the Superintendent’s Council for CharacterPlus and Executive Committee Member of the St. Louis Suburban Athletic Conference.

Paul is active in the community and currently serves as the Chair of the Community Advisory
Board SSM St. Clare Hospital and a Rate Commissioner for Metropolitan Sewer District. He previously served on the Missouri Congressional Medal Committee as well as a past member of the High Ridge Rotary Club and the Northwest Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce. His commitment and leadership in education was recognized when he was awarded the Robert L. Pearce award from the Missouri Association of School Administrators in 2016.

Dr. Ziegler received his Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Northeast Missouri State University (Truman State), his Specialist Degree from Lindenwood University and his Juris Doctorate from Saint Louis University. He is married to Christine Ziegler, a teacher in the Francis Howell School District, and has two children.

I look forward to continuing this effort in this new opportunity with PMA.”

Paul will be based out of PMA’s St. Louis office. Along with the entire MOCAAT team, which includes Jason Hoffman, John Jungmann, Wes Karsten and Emily Kelso, he will be traveling regularly throughout the state. We look forward to Dr. Paul Ziegler joining the PMA and MOCAAT Team.
